Cameron Hill signs contract extension with MSR
Cameron Hill has secured his racing future with Matt Stone Racing (MSR) by signing a new multi-year deal that extends his partnership with the team until at least 2025. Hill, a 26-year-old driver, joined MSR in the current season after a year of racing Supercars machinery in the Dunlop Series. He faced competition from veteran teammate Jack Le Brocq in 2023, with Le Brocq delivering impressive results, including a victory in Darwin. However, Le Brocq has already confirmed his move to Erebus Motorsport for the upcoming season, filling the spot left by Will Brown, who is joining Triple Eight Racing.
Hill's contract renewal provides stability for MSR's driver lineup for the 2024 season, though the team is yet to announce Le Brocq's replacement. Expressing his excitement about the multi-year deal, Hill stated, "To have a multi-year contract locked in is awesome. It’s really good for the mindset to know what the future holds." He also emphasized the significance of having the contract settled, allowing him to focus on continuous improvement and climbing up the ranks in the premier category of Australian motorsport.
Hill will continue to race alongside Jaylyn Robotham in the #35 Truck Assist Camaro, partnering for events such as the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000. This extended partnership with MSR provides Hill with a clear path to progress and further success in the competitive world of Australian motorsport.
