Remy Gardner continues in WSBK with Yamaha
Remy Gardner has secured his place in the 2024 World Superbike championship after extending his contract with GRT Yamaha, ensuring he continues to partner with Dominique Aegerter at the satellite Yamaha team for another season. Yamaha's announcement follows Jonathan Rea's move to Yamaha's works team alongside Andrea Locatelli, solidifying their strong lineup for the 2024 season. Despite an inconsistent debut season in World Superbike, Yamaha sees great potential in Gardner and believes they can achieve their goals together, making for an exciting 2024 season with a powerful lineup that boasts a total of 11 world championship titles among the riders. Gardner transitioned to World Superbike this year after a single season in MotoGP with the Tech 3 KTM team, following his Moto2 title win with KTM in 2021. Currently, Gardner holds the 12th position in the standings, with his best results being sixth-place finishes at Assen and Most.
