SVG signs with Trackhouse Racing

Trackhouse Racing has officially signed three-time Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen for their 2024 NASCAR program, spanning the top three national series in NASCAR.

Van Gisbergen's 2024 venture will encompass "select races in NASCAR's Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series, along with participation in some late model and other races."

The New Zealand racing sensation had garnered interest from several teams, including those associated with Ford and Toyota. However, he opted to continue his journey with Trackhouse Racing, the team that gave him his NASCAR debut in Chicago in July.

Van Gisbergen made a stunning impression during his debut by securing a victory on the streets of Chicago. He further demonstrated his prowess by racing Trackhouse's Project91 Camaro on the Indianapolis road course later that month.

In a weekend filled with notable firsts, he also made his oval debut at the nearby Indianapolis Raceway Park in the NASCAR Trucks Series, collaborating with Niece Motorsports—a team with an alliance to Trackhouse Racing.

Van Gisbergen's deal with Trackhouse Racing, termed a "Developmental Program," hints at the potential for a versatile and exciting season ahead. The team has established relationships with other NASCAR outfits, including Xfinity team Kaulig Racing.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this new chapter in his career, Van Gisbergen stated, "I'm excited by this new chapter in my career and the opportunities that it brings. It is time for a new challenge, and this adventure into NASCAR will be the biggest challenge of my career, and one I'm really looking forward to."

He expressed gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his career, particularly Triple Eight Race Engineering. Van Gisbergen also thanked Justin Marks and everyone at Trackhouse Racing for taking a chance on him and providing this exciting opportunity.

As he prepares to embark on this NASCAR journey, expectations are high, and fans eagerly await Van Gisbergen's performances in the competitive world of NASCAR racing, marking a significant step in his illustrious racing career.
